GHETTOpoly:
"DEATH of AUTOCOON"
Lastnight I went 2 see Tyler Perry's Coonshow
"I can do all by Myself"
I understand from my e-mails that I
have culturally diversed readers..and that's
even more of the reason 4 this post.
I know our President says that he does'nt
think racism tends 2 show up in our modern day
society...or he ain't "Uncle Tom" enuff 2
say it..whatevs' I beg the differ...
2 some Tyler Perry movies may be the most
inspirational films that our culture has 2 offer,
but I can only wonder how much we've allowed ourselves
2 be exposed 2? Truthfully the depiction of
Madea and her brother are disrespectful 2
"OUR" elders, 2days seniors were the mothers
& fathers of the largest conscience movement ever
manufactered and if anything ...truthfully speaking,
our generation is doing more cooning than they've
ever done.
Most of us are spiritually bankrupt and believe
just what the slave master instilled in black
ppl hundreds of years ago...
"That we are possessions of ONLY monetary value!".
I just realized 8 years ago while watching cartoons
with my niece how many underminded racist tones was
in Tom & Jerry..we never saw Tom's owner 2
much but when we did, she was a gigntic fat black
woman who spoke in mami english and looked like
Aunt Jemimah with a scarf tied on her hair frontwards
this is the imagery of the blackwoman
that was 1st used 2 safely allow blacks on tv.
I'm amazed @ the COON shows, ADS, cartoons etc. that
exsist in our society...IN THE 21ST CENTURY.
What amazes me more is that when we critize any1 4
PURE IGNORANCE and especially our own ppl, we become
the evil uncletom.
MAYBE ppl really don't know the truth about UNCLE TOM?
(Like when Cosby or Spike Lee spoke out against ignorance)Uncletom was'nt made out 2 be a bandit by black people
but by white people who never wanted any1 2 know
that the cabin was the safe haven during the
slavery escape route. UNCLE TOM WAS A HERO, who
gave escaping slaves, food, clothing and a safe
place 2 rest..
- He was a House Negro that turned on his master
and fled and used his cabin 4 safety purposes.
- HE put his life on the line 4 people
that had been enslaved buy CRUELTY.
Lastnight I was horrified by "I can Do Bad By Myself"
is it that much easier 2 except hardships by
self? Do we really need COON shows in 2009?
Maybe its just that my Grandfathers biggest fear
was'nt some1 breaking n2 his home 2 steal his most
prized weed collection....as he'd told me many years
ago..that it was being an Tuskeegee Airman that was used
as a fire missle decoy so that he could be shot @ while
the great white men in the air force could safely escape.
As a society we've become desensitized so
much that we've lost not only compassion
4 others but just simple common respect.
Ever heard of Ghettopoly? It's a real boardgame
made in 2003..and They have a REDNECKopoly 2!
You may think it's funny but novelty items are
specifically created 2 degrade its subject.
All of these images on this posts are REAL.
They are from actual boardgames made recently
that are still on sale 2day.If we don't start 2 speak on motivation
inspired by hate of any kind and continue 2
TYLERate IGNORANCE, chances are
our country will face another Civil War,
that wont be North vs South but Brown vs Colorless
PPL...it won't be a matter of social or economical
status..because during the war you'll still be
a Cracker or a Nigga in the midst of angry fire
and it won't be made from anythang CIVIL.
.STAY WOKE
I HEART Spike Lee, he's an incredible filmmaker.
Somebody needs 2 speak up when our people are cooning.
The brotha gets @ Tyler Perry, who could use a sentence
of not leaving the house wothout blackface painting 4 the
next year…I was so embarrased @ that last movie
"Madea Goes 2 Jail" which I took my mother 2 see cause
I had determined she needed a laff and this movie would
do the trick..NOT!!. Spike Lee should just make a movie called
"Madea gets Assasinated" Has any1 noticed we have'nt seen a black
DRAMA on TV in since .."NEVER"..we're casted as only comedians
and Jokers...smdh, anyway.. here’s what Spike had to say:
“We’ve had this discussion back and forth. When John Singleton
[made 'Boyz in the Hood'], people came out to see it.
But when he did ‘Rosewood,’ nobody showed up. So a lot of this
is on us! You vote with your pocketbook, your wallet. You vote
with your time sitting in front of the idiot box, and [Tyler Perry]
has a huge audience. We shouldn’t think that Tyler Perry is going
to make the same film that I am going to make, or that John Singleton
or my cousin Malcolm Lee [would make]. As African-Americans, we’re
not one monolithic group, so there is room for all of that. But at
the same time, for me, the imaging is troubling and it harkens back
to ‘Amos n’ Andy.’”
“Each artist should be allowed to pursue their artistic
endeavors, but I still think there is a lot of stuff out
today that is coonery and buffoonery. I know it’s making
a lot of money and breaking records, but we can do better.
… I am a huge basketball fan, and when I watch the games
on TNT, I see these two ads for these two shows
(Tyler Perry’s “Meet the Browns” and “House of Payne”),
and I am scratching my head. We got a black president,
and we going back to Mantan Moreland and Sleep ‘n’ Eat?
Is Spike “A HATER” or telling the truth when others won't???newsone
-PICTURES LIE-"Lemme Put You On Game"
Jesse Jackson and the late Detroit Mayor, Coleman Young are all smiles in this photo, taken at the Book-Cadillac Hotel the night Young was first elected Detroit’s mayor in 1973. But inside, the mayor-elect was seething. He had wanted Jackson, then a youthful 32, to come to Detroit to lead a voter-registration drive. But the younger man demanded $50,000, to which an indignant Coleman spat, “I didn’t have $50,000 for Jesse Jackson.” Later, when Jackson ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988, Young got even by endorsing a rival, and at one point proclaimed, “Jesse never ran nothing but his mouth.” In a classic understatement, Mayor Young noted in his autobiography that, “It was well known that Jesse and I were not bosom buddies.”
